Robert De Niro in tears during a show. Located in the set of ABC News, the show conducted by Katie Couric, the actor burst into tears when he talked about his new film. "Silver Linings Playbook" is the story of a young man with mental problems trying to readjust to normal life after years spent in a mental clinic.
De Niro could not restrain tears when he had to talk about the story of the main character, played by Bradley Cooper. This is especially excited since he is detached from reality. Film director and screenwriter, David. O. Russell, has a son who suffers from the same disease as the young one from the movie: bipolar disorder.
Pat, the central character, is a former high school teacher who, after four years in a clinic for treatment of mental illness, returns to his parents' house. He tries to readjust normal life, but leave overwhelmed by the obsession he has with the former wife.
Launched in 2012, the production of "Silver Linings Playbook" has already received eight nominations at Osacar awards in 2013 and three at BAFTA Awards.
